By using QuickSwap, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Eligibility
You must be affiliated with a university community you select. You are responsible for accurate account information and for complying with your institution's rules.
QuickSwap is a platform only
QuickSwap is an online marketplace that helps students discover listings, message each other, and arrange exchanges on campus. We are a technology platform only. We are not a seller, buyer, broker, agent, escrow provider, payment processor, delivery service, or insurer.
Any transaction, rental, service, or exchange is strictly between the users involved. QuickSwap does not take ownership of items, does not handle payments, does not store funds, and does not guarantee that any deal will be completed.
No responsibility for products or services
Listings, photos, descriptions, prices, and messages are created and controlled by users. QuickSwap does not inspect, verify, authenticate, or endorse any item, listing, or user.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, QuickSwap is not responsible for:
- The quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of any product or service listed
- Damage, defects, wear, missing parts, or items not matching their description
- Counterfeit, stolen, unsafe, or misrepresented goods
- Failure to deliver, late delivery, or non-payment between users
- Disputes, refunds, chargebacks, or losses arising from a transaction
- Injury, property damage, or other harm related to an item or meet-up
- Advice, offers, or promises made in chat between users
You use QuickSwap and complete any exchange at your own risk. Inspect items carefully, meet in safe public campus locations, and use your own judgment before paying or handing over anything of value.
User responsibilities
- Sellers must describe items honestly and only list what they are allowed to sell or rent
- Buyers must verify condition, price, and legitimacy before completing a deal
- All users must follow applicable laws, campus rules, and our Community Guidelines
- Users are solely responsible for their listings, messages, and conduct on and off the platform
Your content
You retain ownership of content you post but grant QuickSwap a licence to display, store, and moderate it on the platform. You must not post illegal, harmful, or prohibited items (see Community Guidelines). You represent that your content is accurate and that you have the right to post it.
Prohibited conduct
- Fraud, scams, harassment, or impersonation
- Listing illegal or restricted goods
- Spam, scraping, or attempting to bypass security
- Sharing others' private information without consent
- Misrepresenting items, prices, or your identity
Moderation
We may remove content, suspend accounts, or report activity to authorities when needed to protect users. Reports are reviewed by our team. Moderation helps keep the platform safer, but we do not guarantee that all harmful, misleading, or unlawful content will be caught or removed.
Disputes between users
QuickSwap is not obligated to mediate, arbitrate, or resolve disputes between buyers and sellers. If you have a problem with another user, try to resolve it directly. You may report serious abuse through the app or contact quickswap.support@gmail.com, but we are not required to provide refunds, replacements, or compensation.
Account termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may terminate or restrict accounts that violate these Terms. Some data (e.g. abuse reports) may be retained after deletion where legally required or for safety reasons.
Disclaimer of warranties
QuickSwap is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful content.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, QuickSwap and its operators, affiliates, and team members shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from:
- Your use of or inability to use the platform
- Any transaction, listing, message, or interaction between users
- Any product damage, defect, injury, or property loss
- Unauthorized access to your account or data where reasonable safeguards were used
Our total liability for any claim relating to the service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us to use QuickSwap in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) one hundred Indian rupees (₹100), except where liability cannot be limited under applicable law.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless QuickSwap from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the platform, your listings or messages, your transactions with other users, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of QuickSwap after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
