QuickSwap ("we", "us") operates a campus marketplace that lets students discover listings, message each other, and arrange exchanges within their university community. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
Platform notice
QuickSwap is a platform only. We connect students but do not sell products, process payments, or guarantee listings. Listing details, photos, prices, and chat messages are provided by users. We do not verify every claim about an item's condition, authenticity, or safety. See our Terms of Service for limits on our responsibility.
Information we collect
- Account details: name, email, profile photo, university, and optional bio
- Listings: titles, descriptions, photos, prices, categories, and tags
- Messages and offers sent through in-app chat
- Reviews, wishlist items, blocks, and reports you submit
- Technical data: device type, browser, and general usage information collected when you use the app
How we use information
- Provide marketplace, chat, and account features
- Show listings and profiles to other signed-in users at your university
- Investigate abuse reports and enforce our Community Guidelines
- Improve safety, fix bugs, and comply with legal obligations
We use your information to operate the platform. We do not use it to guarantee transactions, inspect products, or decide disputes between buyers and sellers on your behalf.
User-generated content
Photos, listing text, and messages you post may be visible to other users as part of the service. You are responsible for what you share. QuickSwap is not responsible for the accuracy or legality of user-generated content, though we may remove content that violates our policies.
Third-party service providers
We rely on trusted third-party providers to run QuickSwap — for example, sign-in, secure data storage, photo hosting, and website hosting. These providers process information on our behalf only as needed to deliver the service, under their own privacy and security standards. We do not sell your personal information.
If you sign in with Google, Google processes your sign-in according to Google's Privacy Policy.
Data sharing
Your profile, listings, and messages are visible to other signed-in QuickSwap users as needed for the service. We may disclose information if required by law, to respond to valid legal requests, or to protect users and the platform.
If you complete a deal with another student, any personal details you choose to share outside the app (phone number, payment app ID, address, etc.) are shared at your own discretion and risk.
Your choices
- Edit your profile in the app
- Block users and report harmful behaviour
- Delete your account from Profile → Delete account (removes your profile; some content may be retained for safety or legal reasons — see Terms)
Children
QuickSwap is intended for university students in the communities you select. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
