Request Data Deletion

This page explains how to request deletion of some or all of your data in QuickSwap without deleting your account. QuickSwap is owned and operated by NSTECHLABS PRIVATE LIMITED.

If you want to close your account entirely, use Delete your QuickSwap account instead.

How to remove data yourself in the app

While signed in to QuickSwap, you can remove or update much of your data directly:

Profile details: Go to You → Edit profile to change or clear name, photo, bio, and similar fields.
Listings: Go to You → your listings, then remove or permanently delete listings and photos you no longer want shown.
Wishlist: Open Wishlist and remove items you saved.
Chat: Open a conversation and clear or leave chats where the app provides that option (message history for the other person may still remain).

How to request data deletion by email

To request that we delete specific data (or as much as we can) while keeping your account active, email us from the address linked to your QuickSwap account:

Tell us which data you want removed (for example: profile photo, listings, chat history, wishlist, university details) and confirm you want to keep your account.
Include your registered name and the email used for QuickSwap so we can locate your data.

We aim to process verified data-deletion requests within 30 days.

Data that can be deleted on request

Profile fields you ask us to clear (photo, bio, optional details)
Listings and listing photos you ask us to remove from the marketplace
Wishlist entries tied to your account
Push notification tokens
Other personal data we can reasonably locate and remove without closing your account

Data that may be kept

Account sign-in basics needed to keep your account working (e.g. authentication identifiers / email used to log in), unless you fully delete the account.
Chat messages that also appear in another user’s inbox may remain for them even if we remove your copy or unlink your profile.
Reports, blocks, and safety records may be retained to investigate abuse and protect the community.
Limited legal / accounting records may be retained where required by law.

Retention period

Data covered by an approved deletion request is removed or de-identified from live systems within 30 days after we verify the request.
Safety, legal, and accounting records described above may be retained for up to 12 months, or longer if required by law or an active investigation.
