QuickSwap works when students treat each other with respect. These guidelines apply to listings, messages, reviews, and profiles.
QuickSwap is a platform — deals are between users
QuickSwap helps you find items and contact other students. We are not the seller, buyer, or middleman in your deal. We do not inspect items, hold payments, or guarantee that a listing is accurate, safe, or delivered as described.
If something goes wrong — damaged goods, wrong item, no-show, or a payment dispute — that is between you and the other student. Use good judgment, inspect items before paying, and report serious abuse through the app.
Be honest
- Use real photos and accurate descriptions
- Disclose scratches, damage, missing parts, and any defects upfront
- Price items fairly and only list what you actually have
- Only list items you are allowed to sell or rent
Be respectful
- No harassment, threats, hate speech, or bullying in chat or listings
- Respect boundaries — stop messaging if someone asks you to
- Use the block and report tools if you feel unsafe
Prohibited items & services
Do not list or request:
- Weapons, explosives, or hazardous materials
- Illegal drugs, alcohol, or tobacco
- Stolen goods or counterfeit items
- Adult or sexually explicit content
- Hate speech, harassment, or discriminatory listings
- Academic cheating services (paid assignments, exam answers)
Stay safe when meeting up
- Meet in public, well-lit campus locations
- Inspect items carefully before you pay or hand over money
- Keep payment arrangements between yourselves — QuickSwap does not process payments
- Report suspicious behaviour immediately
Reporting & enforcement
Use in-app report and block features. We review reports and may warn, restrict, or ban accounts. Serious violations may be reported to your university or authorities. Enforcement helps keep the community safer, but QuickSwap cannot undo a bad transaction or compensate users for product damage or losses.
